Ienjoyed an authentic Chinese meal tonight with my friend Sarah. She is Chinese-Canadian, originally from Beijing so knows all the good spots to eat in Vancouver. The ones where the restaurant staff speak to you like they’re ready to take your head off. Main course was either pork kidneys, or livers. I can’t remember. Delicious, whatever it was. It’s all in the sauce. I just remember commenting how it was the first time I’d tried that particular part of the pig.
