I‘ve started designing in WordPress. My first effort is a rejig of PatMeehan.com. It’s still a work in progress.
Different Strokes | Vancouver, Canada
Ihad to go to Vancouver today to take care of a few things. It’s a great town if you’re in the mood for her. I had lunch (chicken and shrimp w/ veggies, rice and peanuts in a peanut butter sauce) at Hon’s on Robson St www.hons.ca. I went and checked out Granville Island for a while as well. When I’m in that area I normally stop in at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts for a meal www.picachef.com. Whatever gourmet food the students created that day goes on sale really cheap at a kiosk by the entrance to the school. Took some photos of folks with different strokes along the way.

Sunny Day Off | Whistler, Canada
After a short bike ride of my own I went and watched the showoffs in the Whistler Granfondo bike race cross the finish line www.rbcgranfondowhistler.com. Pretty incredible, they ride all the way up from Vancouver. Then I hit the driving range. The ball in the photo cleared the far fence by a good 20 meters. Or, I hit it so far to the left I almost smoked the guy on the practice putting green. Can’t remember which. By the end of my session I had them going straight consistently. I’ve never given much energy to golf. I was hoping for a threesome with Tiger but he wasn’t around. Nobody commented on the fact that I was barefoot. My flip flops were throwing my balance off. 54/40 www.5440.com played a free concert in town tonight as well.

The posts on how to blog all mention a need for more photography in the sites. I figured I would add a photo or two every few days just to try and keep it a little more interesting than the enthralling minutia of my everyday life.
